On May 1, 2025, Research Nova Scotia (RNS) received a new mandate from the province. RNS supports, organizes, coordinates the funding of research to increase economic growth and productivity in three priority sectors – (1) natural resources, climate change and clean energy; (2) life sciences and health sciences; and (3) construction and transportation – while increasing the Province’s research capacity and supporting Nova Scotia’s research community. Today RNS is sharing its new strategic plan to describe how we will support these priorities.
The RNS team will begin implementing the new plan over the next several months and more information will be shared when it is available. It is our intention to open the first Ear to the Ground funding round in November. An announcement with information on the eligibility criteria, the opening and closing dates and a link to the application form will be made shortly on our website at www.researchns.ca/news
